At a glance
Clocks Ticking requires beating Chapter 1 in under eight minutes. Move directly from Cruz and Room 67 through the bathroom, rescue-key sequence and final elevator chase. Skip optional outfit, cookie, TV and toilet goals during the attempt. Check for the Clocks Ticking award after Chapter 1 finishes.
The official requirement and a post-update badge-awarding finish support this guide. The game does not publish the exact clock boundary, loading rules or target splits; the route is a preparation plan without a guaranteed completion time.

The requirement is under eight minutes
Roblox’s published condition is Beat Chapter 1 under 8 minutes. Aim for less than eight minutes and use the actual badge award to confirm success.
Learn the Chapter 1 route before trying the time challenge. A practice run helps you recognize the bathroom door, Steak’s bedroom and the route back to the elevator without stopping to search or read instructions during the attempt.
Follow the mandatory route
| Stage | Direct route |
|---|---|
| Lobby | Talk to Cruz, learn Room 67, then go to the elevator. |
| Apartment floor | Follow the objective straight to Room 67. Continue to Steak and the story interaction. |
| Bathroom warning | When HIDE IN THE BATHROOM appears, get inside and close the door before its seven-second countdown ends. Wait for Steak’s inspection to finish. |
| Find help | Follow EXIT THE BUILDING, approach the locked room when the voice calls, then return to the elevator for Cruz. |
| Bedroom key | Follow Cruz back. After Steak takes him, collect the key from Steak’s bedroom and use it on the locked room. |
| Final chase | The arm reveal leads into RUN. Follow the hallway to the elevator and enter it. |
Keep the story interactions and hiding sequence in the run. The source footage does not establish a dialogue-skip command or a shortcut that bypasses these objectives.
Skip optional badge detours
Use a separate attempt for the optional Chapter 1 goals:
- Finding the maid outfit in the lobby.
- Stopping to eat every hallway cookie.
- Turning on the television.
- Flushing the toilet after Steak’s warning.
- Deliberately getting caught for a capture badge.
The cookie trail can still help you find Room 67; collecting the cookie badge adds another objective. During a time attempt, concentrate on the next required door or interaction.
Move as soon as the current objective changes. Extra room searches, returning to a missed optional item and pausing to consult a guide are avoidable delays. Use the input prompts available on your device; no special movement setting is documented by the linked route.
Confirm the timed badge
Crano’s post-update Clocks Ticking segment shows the final elevator sequence. At 1:59, the screen reads Chapter 1 finished! and displays the Clocks Ticking award notification.
Chapter completion and the timed badge are separate checks. If Chapter 1 finishes but Clocks Ticking is missing, check Roblox’s badge list, then start another Chapter 1 attempt and reduce unnecessary travel or optional interactions.
What the clock evidence establishes
The public badge description gives the eight-minute limit. The inspected successful finish confirms that the badge can be awarded at the chapter’s ending.
The sources do not expose whether timing begins at chapter selection, after loading or at the first objective, or how cutscenes and loading are counted. Video-player timestamps locate the evidence; subtracting them does not reveal the game’s internal timing rule. This uncertainty does not change the required chapter route or the badge result to check.
